POSITION TITLE: Energy Auditor

DEPARTMENT: NYSEG/RGE Program

ENTITY NAME: EnerPath Services, Inc.

 BASIC FUNCTION

 Interacts on a daily basis with customers in the field, including cold calling, to evaluate and identify energy saving opportunities.  Conducts  energy surveys for customer’s business using a PDA or tablet.  Educates customer about utility programs being offered and other potential rebate opportunities.  Obtains signature from customer to authorize installation of energy efficient measures applicable.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

 

  1. Identifies key decision makers and educates them about utility program offerings.  Must be organized, detailed-oriented and self-motivated to manage schedule, set-up appointments and customer follow-up.
  2. Conducts energy audits of non-residential and residential buildings as required, that includes but is not limited to identifying existing lighting, HVAC, refrigeration, gas and water using equipment/measures.  This information is recorded and stored electronically using intuitive EnerPath software that resides on PDA’s and/or tablets.  Must have the knowledge base to make equipment recommendations in some circumstances.  Must be able to identify potential future leads that could be added to the program.
  3. Educates customer about general energy saving tips and desired behavioral changes that could be made to save energy.  Educates customer on identified equipment change-out opportunities and obtains signature for installation approval.  Explains the financial and environmental benefits of proposed changes and collects any customer co-payment and/or deposits needed to proceed.  Explains next steps with the installation process, leaving the customer fully aware of what they may expect.
  4. Attends scheduled department meetings and continued education classes.
  5. Meets minimal performance and quality standards.
  6. Responsible for representing ESI in a professional manner and abiding by all safety and employee guidelines.
  7. Responsible for maintaining and protecting all electronic equipment issued.

 RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS

POSITION TITLE: Project Coordinator

 BASIC FUNCTION

 The Project Coordinator works closely with the Program Manager, Project Managers, Q/A Manager, installation entities and clients to ensure seamless transition for all projects that fall under their supervision.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

 Projects / Programs

 

  1. Coordinates / Schedules various auditing activities inter-related to specific programs assigned.
  2. Communicates with clients to gather all information required to assist auditing personnel.
  3. Supports and oversees  assigned Contractor and Subcontractor activities.
  4. Coordinates / Schedules various inspection activities inter-related to specific programs assigned.
  5. Maintains Contractor/Subcontractor files ensuring valid licensing, insurance and certification.
  6. Tracks and manages  insurance compliance including date validation and renewals.
  7. Reviews and prepares subcontracts. Verifies execution of subcontracts.
  8. Creates purchase orders and submits to subcontractors, reviews and submits incoming accounts payable invoices from subcontractors.
  9. Reviews and prepares documentation for accounts receivable invoices submitted to finance.
  10. Develops and maintains customers tracking reports as requested, as well performance measurement tools and reports for productivity.
  11. Trains field personnel and subcontractors staff.

RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering, Communications or other technical curriculum or 3+ management experience.
  • Knowledge of effective project implementation processes and tracking procedures
  • Strong analytical skills necessary to evaluate performance and to generate effective service and quality control strategies.

BASIC FUNCTION

The Energy Auditor for the City Lights Program will act as the primary interface with small businesses and educate them about the City Lights program and the benefits of energy-efficiency upgrades.  Energy Auditors will evaluate and identify energy saving opportunities using EnerPath’s PDA-based energy-auditing tools (training will be provided).  Such assessments educate customers about the City Lights Program and obtain customer signatures authorizing the installation of energy efficient measures.  Energy Auditors may enroll customers through qualified leads generated by marketing partners or by “cold-calling” small businesses directly.

BASIC FUNCTION

Management and oversight of all sales personnel and operations of this profit center. Provide corporate required reporting outputs. Sales Manager will have a bottom line sales goal for the program. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  1. Management and oversight of all outside and inside sales personnel with strong interface to Customer Service. Sales Manager will be directly responsible for all sales staff associated with the program.
  2. Ensure organizational structure, staffing and business processes are optimized to achieve program objective and goals.  Design and implement enhancements when necessary.
  3. Manage and track all program activities related to sales and sales teams as well as tracking of installations, inspections, and quality assurance. Work with customer service to assesss and enhance sales effectiveness and reevaluate strategy when necessary.
  4. Follow and enforce appropriate program and company policies for all sales staff.
  5. Work closely with the Program Manager and the Marketing Manager with respect to program goals and implementation.
  6. Developing viable strategies that can aid in executing our sales plan and achieving company objectives.
  7. Maintain accuracy in reporting and accounting of all aspects of sales.
  8. TRAINING

It is expected that the Sales Manager will undergo training to understand the general and specific requirements of our programs. In, addition, the individual will be provided training in the use of EnerWorks® software and web-based enterprise management reporting software.
