BASIC FUNCTION

Interacts on a daily basis with customers in the field, including cold calling, to evaluate and identify energy saving opportunities. Conducts energy surveys for customer’s business using a IPad. Educates customer about utility programs being offered and other potential rebate opportunities. Obtains signature from customer to authorize installation of energy efficient measures applicable.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1) Identifies key decision makers and educates them about utility program offerings. Must be organized, detailed-oriented and self-motivated to manage schedule, set-up appointments and customer follow-up.

2) Conducts energy audits of non-residential and residential buildings as required, that includes but is not limited to identifying existing lighting, HVAC, refrigeration, gas and water using equipment/measures. This information is recorded and stored electronically using intuitive EnerPath software that resides on the IPad. Must have the knowledge base to make equipment recommendations in some circumstances. Must be able to identify potential future leads that could be added to the program.

3) Educates customer about general energy saving tips and desired behavioral changes that could be made to save energy. Educates customer on identified equipment change-out opportunities and obtains signature for installation approval. Explains the financial and environmental benefits of proposed changes and collects any customer co-payment and/or deposits needed to proceed. Explains next steps with the installation process, leaving the customer fully aware of what they may expect.

4) Attends scheduled department meetings and continued education classes.

5) Meets minimal performance and quality standards.

6) Responsible for representing ESI in a professional manner and abiding by all safety and employee guidelines.

7) Responsible for maintaining and protecting all electronic equipment issued.

BASIC FUNCTION 

The Program Manager reports directly to EnerPath’s President and is responsible for managing the staff in EnerPath’s local Program Office with the sole purpose of delivering the Program’s energy-saving goals, on time, within budget (roughly $10 - $20 million), and with extraordinary customer and client satisfaction.  The Program Manager owns the P&L of the Program and has the primary responsibility for all program marketing, analysis, energy audits, customer enrollments, project installations, and client/customer billings, program reporting, and client interface.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

1.       Ensure the Program meets all program goals (MWh savings, MW savings, and budget) and surpasses the Client’s expectations.

2.       Program Marketing to generate qualified leads for perspective participants.

3.       Manage a team of local sales representatives responsible for using the EnerPath iPad-based software (EnerWorksTM)  to engage customers, conduct energy audits, and enroll program participants (training will be provided).

4.       Manage pre-qualified local subcontractors who receive work orders to install specified and authorized high-efficiency lighting and refrigeration retrofits.

5.       Manage a team to inspect and verify all levels of installation work to ensure quality and completeness. 

6.       Maintain detailed product knowledge associated with all installed energy-efficiency products and equipment.

7.       Manage all client interactions to ensure the Utility Company understands the Program’s progress and performance on an on-going basis.

8.       Monitor and manage program budgets and program reporting.

9.       Recruit and hire sufficient program staff to deliver program goals.

10.   Maintain a culture of “continuous improvement” to ensure EnerPath’s programs continue to delivery high levels of customer satisfaction, program performance, innovation, and best-practices across all levels of the organization.

11.   Responsible for representing EnerPath in a professional manner and abiding by all safety and employee guidelines.

CANDIDATE PROFILE

1.       Candidates must be organized, client-oriented, detailed-oriented and self-motivated to achieve aggressive goals within a fast-paced environment.

2.       Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business or other technical curriculum or 3+ years program management or system maintenance experience.

3.       Educational emphasis or professional experience on energy efficiency is strongly preferred.

4.       Experience hiring and managing a team with the successful completion of a specific goal or outcome.

5.       Clear and well-organized oral and written English communication skills.

6.       Successful management and mentoring of a team of sales representatives to meet regular sales targets.

7.       Knowledge of energy-efficient lighting and refrigeration technologies is a plus.

8.       Able to proficiently use Microsoft Office Suite is required.

9.       Both the ability and desire to work effectively in a fast-paced, changing, entrepreneurial work environment where the candidate will need to manage both highly detailed and strategic tasks simultaneously.
